Abstract

This study aims to determine the availability of agricultural tools and machinery as well as to determine the impact of using machine tools and without machine tools on the income of rice farmers in Merah Mata Village. This research was conducted from January 2022 to September 2022 using the descriptive tabulation method. The parameters used are the calculation of the need for agricultural tools and machines, the availability of agricultural tools and machines, the comparison of farmers using agricultural machinery and conventional farming, and also business efficiency for rice farmers. Based on the results of this study, it showed that the availability of 2-wheel tractors is more and combine harvesters are very sufficient. The average income of farming using machineries was Rp.5.930.000/ha per planting season and conventional farmers was Rp.3.900.000/ha The efficiency of the average income of rice farming using machineries and conventional machines was 2.3% and 1.7%, respectively. The results of this study indicated that the use of agricultural tools and machinery can affect the income of rice farmers in Merah Mata Village.
