Abstract

In this study discusses the design of an internal protection system using the addition of an arrester in a Graha Bukit Asam building after a post-graduate degree in architectural architecture at the University of Sriwijaya, to conduct this research the author makes a scheme using Visio-16 Software, the author conducted this research in the city of Palembang, to be exact. at the Graha Bukit Asam postgraduate building, Faculty of Engineering, Sriwijaya University, which is located on Jalan Bukit Lama, Kec. Ilir Bar. I, Palembang City, South Sumatra. Where later this software is useful to facilitate the creation of the scheme and can determine the location of the placement of the arrester in each room. If internal protection / additional arresters have been installed in each room, then the room is good enough to overcome the overcurrent caused by natural disasters such as Lightning / Lightning striking the building.
