Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi guru IPA SMP tentang penggunaan socio scientific issues dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMP Kecamatan Tanjung Sakti PUMI dan Kecamatan Tanjung Sakti PUMU. Dalam penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif ini, data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan 15 butir pernyatan dengan kuesioner berbentuk skala likert. Subjek penelitian adalah tujuh belas guru IPA dari SMPN 1 Tanjung Sakti PUMI, SMPN 2 Tanjung Sakti PUMI, SMPN 3 Tanjung Sakti PUMI, SMPN 4 Tanjung Sakti PUMI, SMPN 1 Tanjung Sakti PUMU, SMPN 2 Tanjung Sakti PUMU, SMP Mumammadiyah Batu Rancing, SMP PUMI Xaverius Tanjung Sakti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru IPA memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif atau setuju untuk menggunakan socio scientific issues dalam pembelajaran IPA. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru IPA tentang sosio scientific issues dapat diterima dengan baik, dan penggunaan socio scientific issues sangat mengesankan dalam proses pembelajaran IPA.
