Abstract
ABSTRACT This research is entitled "The Effect of Implementing HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Based Learning on Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Class Xi History Subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Unggulan Indralaya Utara". The formulation in this study is to see whether there is an the effect of implementation of a HOTS (Higher Order Thingking Skills) based learning approach on the critical thinking skills of students in Indonesian history subjects. Meanwhile, the purpose of the study was to determine the influence of the HOTS-based learning approach "Higher Order Thinking Skills" on the critical thinking skills of students in history subjects in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Unggulan Indralaya Utara. This research was conducted from May 11 to June 8, 2022. The research method used is an experimental method with an experimental research design which is divided into two classes, namely the experimental group and the control group. The samples in this study were class XI IPA 1 (experimental class) and class XI IPA 2 (control class) using random sampling techniques. The data collection techniques in this study are observation and tests. The prerequisite test techniques for data analysis used are normality test and homogeneity test. The data analysis technique in this study used a t-test with a significant level of calculation > ttabel with a level of α = 0.05. The calculation result was obtained 5.83 and the ttabel obtained 1.667. Based on the results of data analysis, a > ftabel or 5.83 > 1,667 was obtained. Thus the hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted. Keywords: HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Learning, Critical thinking. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Kelas Xi Di SMA Negeri 1 Unggulan Indralaya Utara”. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat adakah pengaruh pelaksanaan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thingking Skills) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran sejarah indonesia. Sedangkan tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis HOTS “Higher Order Thinking Skills” terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran sejarah di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Unggulan Indralaya Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 Mei sampai 8 Juni 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain riset eksperimental yang terbagi menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 1 (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas XI IPA 2 (kelas kontrol) dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan tes. Teknik uji prasyarat analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikan thitung > ttabel dengan taraf α =0,05. Hasil thitung diperoleh 5,83 dan ttabel diperoleh 1,667. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh fhitung > ftabel atau 5,83 > 1,667. Dengan demikian hipotesis (Ho) ditolak dan (Ha) diterima. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), Berpikir kritis.
