Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country with a large territorial waters and has abundant marine products. The abundance of fish products makes this sector a lot of attention by many countries that violate, one of them is Vietnam being a country that commits a lot of fishing. On this basis, Indonesia is more persistent in increasing its cooperation and establishing communication with its strategic partner, namely Vietnam. Indonesia is know facing the problem of illegal fishing so that it can increase progress in the Indonesian fisheries sector. This study uses a qualitative method, with data obtained through references to literature sources in the form of journals, theses and official websites that are relevant to the object of research. In this research, the author uses the theory of international cooperation with the concept of bilateral cooperation because of the unavoidable interdependence and international cooperation is taken as an alternative between the two countries which is manifested in the activities carried out by the two countries as a form of coordination for problems that occur, especially in the maritime sector and fisheries in Indonesia. The results show that the cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam has been successful and even continues. Keywords: Cooperation, Indonesia, Vietnam, Marine and Fisheries
