Abstract

This study aims to determine how the level of academic procrastination of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Banyuasin. This research is a quantitative descriptive research by displaying data in the form of percentage numbers. The population of the research is class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Banyuasin, totaling 134 students. The sampling technique in this study used a proportional random sampling technique. The sample of the research is class VIII student at SMP Negeri 6 Banyuasin totaling 100 students. The data collection instrument used was the academicprocratination scale with data analysis techniques using percentages (%). The results of this study indicate that there are 15 students (15%) have a low level of academic procrastination, 66 student (66%) have a moderate level of academic procrationation, and 19 students (19%) have a high level of academic procrastination.
