Abstract
Sexual Violence is a significant problem that is difficult to overcome. The purpose of this research is to describe the perspective of adolescents regarding verbal catcalling and its impact on mental health. There were 35 informants in this study, consisting of 24 youth informants and 11 expert key informants. Data validation was carried out by triangulating sources, methods, and data. Data analysis uses Thematic Analysis to identify patterns and find themes. Teenagers already know the term catcalling and some of its actions Catcalling can happen anywhere and with anyone, young women aged 10-20 years often become victims for reasons of joking, attracting attention, wanting to have a relationship, body shape, praise, and seeking pleasure. There is a big influence from the people around each catcalling incident to make this action difficult to stop because it is entrenched in society. Catcalling incidents can harm the mental health of victims such as fear, trauma, feeling disturbed, annoyed, and angry, and even experiencing depression so preventive measures are needed such as reprimanding the perpetrator, reporting to the police, fighting, and choosing to remain silent and strengthening the role of spiritual factors in the formation of mindset, attitude and morals for adolescents.
