Abstract

Projects cannot be separated from various risks and uncertainties that will affect project objectives in terms of cost, quality, and time. Like the unstable work volume and the frequent overlap between jobs, it will cause fluctuation and overallocation problems in the project so the projects run into delays and waste. Project control is needed as a control system so that project goals are achieved. The resource levelling method is a project control technique used in planning an optimal workforce to minimize fluctuations and the risk of excess or shortages of resources. This project control analysis was carried out on the South Sumatra Mapolda Building Construction Project which reviewed structural work and artisan labor only. Based on the project time schedule, it can be seen that there is a deviation between the plan and realization almost every week. The sharp fluctuations of project workers distribution was identified on the 11th and 20th Weeks and overallocation on the 9th, 10th, 12th until 18th, and the 20th Weeks. The results of the analysis show that the distribution of labor is more even with the total number of workers needed for planners is 5557 people, while after leveling is 4935 people with a difference of 622 people. Although the number of leveling artisan labor is less, the completion of the project can still be completed within a period of 141 days. Based on the conclusions of the research, the project can maximize the use of existing workforce requirements and can reduce existing deviations and assist the owner/contractor in controlling cashflow.
