Abstract

Economic development has a close relationship with the role of the industrial sector. The industrial sector is one that can guide other economic sectors towards development. One of the industries that Indonesia can rely on is the availability of the coffee processing industry, this is because Indonesia has potential in terms of natural resources and geographical conditions which are one of the supporting factors for coffee processing production. This study aims to analyze the development of the competitiveness of the Indonesian coffee processing industry in the global market in 2011-2020 and the factors that influence it. The data used in this study is secondary data with ISIC (1076) in the form of time series data. Data were obtained from several sources, namely Indonesian Statistics, UNCOMTRADE, and Direktorat Jenderal Perkebunan. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression using the usual last square method. The results show that the Indonesian coffee processing industry has high competitiveness in the global market. Labor productivity has a positive and significant effect on added value. Revealed Comparative Advantage has a positive but not significant effect on the added value of the Indonesian coffee processing industry in the global market.
