Abstract
Background: Non-communicable diseases cause 73% of global deaths and hypertension is a global public health threat that has significant economic and social impacts. In the prevention of non-communicable diseases, the active role of the community, both individually and in groups, in the implementation of Community-Based Health Efforts is required through the activities of the Posbindu Non-Communicable Diseases (Posbindu PTM). The purpose of this study was to analysis the determinants factors of utilization in Posbindu PTM. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design. The sample is the target community who come to the Posbindu PTM service in Ilir Timur II District (n=359 people) and aged above or equal to 40 years, selected by the Consecutive Sampling method. Collecting data using questionnaires through direct interviews with respondents. Data analysis using Chi-Square. Results: The results showed that majority of respondents were active in the utilization of Posbindu PTM (69.1%). Variables that have a significant correlation to the utilization of Posbindu PTM include) gender (p-value = 0.000; OR = 4.618 CI95%=2.498-8,5), knowledge (p-value=0.000; OR=4.015 CI95%=2,505-6,43) dan family support (p-value=0,001:OR=2,258 CI95%;1,413 – 3,610) and access (p-value=0,025; OR=2,111 CI95%:1,137 – 3,919). in area of Ilir Timur II District. The variables that do not have correlation with the utilization of Posbindu PTM are age,education,occupation,attitudes,health insurance ownership and availability of facilities and infrastructure. Conclusion: It was concluded that the determinants of Posbindu PTM utilization factors were gender, knowledge and family support .
