Abstract

Belum adanya data epidemiologi mengenai prevalensi nodul tiroid di berbagai daerah di Indonesia yang dikenal memiliki tipologi geografis dan konsumsi iodium yang bervariasi. Jenis penelitian yang telah dilakukan adalah penelitian observasional deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan data sekunder berupa rekam medik di bagian Patologi Anatomi RSMH Palembang pada periode 1 Januari 2007 - 31 Desember 2010. Prevalensi Nodul Tiroid di bagian Patologi Anatomi RSMH Palembang pada tahun 2007 (14,75%), pada tahun 2008 (17,07%), pada tahun 2009 (13,96%), pada tahun 2010 (17,5%), periode Januari 2007 hingga Desember 2010 (15,88%). Kelompok umur tertinggi pada umur 41-48 tahun (22%).Frekuensi Nodul Tiroid tertinggi pada jenis kelamin perempuan (80,4%). Pada laki-laki kategori terbanyak pada tumor ganas (54,2%). Pada perempuan terbanyak pada adenoma (54%). Pada adenoma tertinggi pada kelompok umur 41-48 tahun (22,7%). Pada tumor ganas tertinggi pada kelompok umur 41-48 tahun (21,2%). Pada koloid tertinggi pada kelompok umur 41-48 tahun (23,6%). Pada Jenis Adenokarsinoma Papiler tertinggi pada kelompok umur 41-48 tahun (23,3%). Jenis Histopatologi yang tertinggi adalah Koloid (48,9%). Pada tumor ganas tertinggi pada adenokarsinoma papiler (24,4%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah prevalensi nodul tiroid pada tahun 2007-2010 adalah (15,88%), umur tertinggi penderita nodul tiroid berada pada kelompok umur 41-48 tahun yang prevalensinya meningkat secara linier namun menurun setelah umur 49-56 tahun, walaupun prevalensi nodul tiroid secara umum pada laki-laki lebih rendah dibanding perempuan namun pada lakilaki cenderung ditemukan tumor ganas, pasien yang berumur dibawah 16 tahun dan lebih dari 45 tahun cenderung ditemukan tumor ganas dibanding pasien yang berumur antara 17-45 tahun, jenis histopatologi yang tertinggi adalah koloid.
