Abstract

Electrical energy is the most suitable and comfortable form of energy for modern society because it can be easily converted into a form of energy others, for example air conditioning, lighting, water pumps and some other necessities other. As induction motors are widely used in industry and households because these induction motors have a simple construction and are easy to operate. Single-phase induction motors are often used to drive equipment at full speed or relatively constant speed. Like the single-phase induction motor in the infusion bottle and syringe chopper machine designed by Pratiwi Anggraini, this induction motor uses a large capacitor so that it quickly experiences heat and wastes electrical energy, if excessive heat occurs quickly it can damage the induction motor. After that, to see the amount of electrical energy that is affected by capacitors 20 F, 12 F, 4 F, and 1.5 F. In the 500 ml infusion bottle sample when using a 20 F capacitor the electrical energy consumption is 0.31 kW, while for a 12 F capacitor the electrical energy consumption is 0.3 kW, then for a 4 F capacitor the electrical energy consumption is 0.28 kW, and on a capacitor 1 ,5 F electrical energy consumption is 0.26 kW. This means that the larger the capacitor, the greater the voltage received which causes the use of electrical energy to increase.
