Abstract

This study aims to study the results of soil analysis in the laboratory and soil rapid test using the Swamp Soil Test Tool (PUTR) and determine the fertilizer recommendations needed for rice plants. This research was carried out in April 2022 until September 2022 in an area of 20 hectares of tidal swamp in Mulia Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin. This study uses a detailed survey method with a scale of 1:6.000, soil samples using the grid method, taking soil samples at a depth of 0-30 cm. Soil samples were taken as many as 5 drilling points each one sample representing 5 ha, then a direct soil test was carried out using a swamp soil test kit PUTR, he elements analyzed are nitrogen, phosphate, and kalium. Then a soil test was carried out in the laboratory to find out the right fertilizer recommendations, and calculate the nutrient requirements in the form of doses of Urea, SP-36 and KCl fertilizers. The results of the calculation of fertilizer requirements obtained recommendations Urea fertilization with an average of 452 kg ha-1, the difference is lower than the recommended method PUTR of 152 kg/ha-1. The recommendation for SP-36 fertilization with an average of 375 kg ha-1, the difference is lower than the PUTR method of 275 kg/ha-1. Next the KCl fertilization recommendation with an average of 277 kg ha-1, the difference is lower than the PUTR method of 127 kg/ha-1.
