Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest producers of palm oil or Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the world with a production of 19.76 million tons produced from oil palm plantations covering an area of 8.04 million hectares. The main problem faced with oil palm commodities is the low productivity and quality of the people's fresh fruit bunches. In managing their gardens, farmers in Sumber Rejeki Village used to still use the traditional pattern or without membership until finally in 2017 the government carried out oil palm rejuvenation in the village. Sumber Rejeki Village where one of the conditions is to become a KUD member to carry out rejuvenation in Sumber Rejeki Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in attitude skills knowledge between farmer members and non members of KUD Suka Rezeki and to analyze the relationship between knowledge skills and attitudes of farmers on farmers' income in oil palm farming in Sumber Rejeki Village Sungai Lilin District Musi Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted using survey and observation methods. Sampling was carried out using an unbalanced layered random sampling technique with a total of 30 respondents from oil palm farmers. The analysis of differences in knowledge skills attitudes of member and non member farmers in carrying out oil palm farming in Sumber Rejeki Village Sungai Lilin District Musi Banyuasin Regency was carried out using the Mann Whitney test and analysis of the relationship between knowledge skills and attitudes towards farmers' income in oil palm farming using the Spearmann Correlation test. The results showed that there was no difference in the knowledge and skills of farmers in oil palm farming. There are differences in attitudes between member and non member KUD Suka Rezeki farmers in oil palm farming where KUD Suka Rezeki member farmers have moderate criteria while member farmers have moderate criteria. The average income of KUD Suka Rezeki member farmers in oil palm farming is Rp27.535.292 while non member farmers are Rp16.635.400. Based on the results of the Spearmann Correlation test there is a relationship between knowledge skills attitudes and income in oil palm farming in Sumber Rejeki Village Sungai Lilin District Musi Banyuasin Regency.
