Abstract
This study examines the dose of scattered radiation exposed to the human body with the help of the Monte Carlo method which is simulated using OpenDXMC where the input data is adjusted to the secondary data of thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD) measurements. The use of Monte Carlo here is based on the random behavior of x-ray particles, so the Monte Carlo method is very precise for simulating x-ray transport. This study used secondary data which is compared with the results of the Monte Carlo simulation. From the results of the monte carlo simulation, it is concluded that the printed value from the computational results interprets the KERMA value (kinetic energy released in the material). The comparison results of the simulation with TLD measurement data, the simulation dose value closest to the TLD measurement value is sample number 18 with coordinates (0.3), the lowest dose in the Monte Carlo simulation is number 35 with a dose of 6.22 μGy, the largest dose on the phantom surface 151.33 μGy. This simulation shows a decrease in dose to distance, so that the area with the lowest scattered radiation dose can be determined.
