Abstract

This study discusses the Feasibility Analysis of Hydroponic Vegetables in East Ilir District II Palembang City using 2 feasibility aspects, namely financial aspects and non-financial aspects and analyzing sensitivity using switching values. The objectives of this study are: (1) analyzing the financial feasibility of hydroponic vegetable farming in Yan's Hydroponics Palembang, (2) analyzing the non-financial feasibility after visiting hydroponic vegetables in Yan's Hydroponics Palembang, (3) analyzing the level of sensitivity of hydroponic vegetable farming in Yan's Hydroponics Palembang to decrease in output prices, decreases in production quantities, and increases in nutrient prices. This research was carried out at Yan's Hydroponics Palembang which is located in East Ilir II District, Palembang City, South Sumatra from January to February 2022. The research method used is by direct interviews with yan's hydroponics business owners and related parties, as well as conducting searches from various literature. Qualitative data processing is used in the analysis of non-financial aspects, while quantitative data processing is used in the analysis of the financial aspects of the hydroponic vegetable business. Based on the results of research on non-financial aspects covering market aspects, technical aspects, management aspects, legal aspects and environmental aspects, it is stated that the hydroponic vegetable cultivation business is feasible to be carried out. Meanwhile, based on financial aspects, the hydroponic vegetable cultivation business is feasible to be carried out with an NPV investment criteria value of Rp2.543.953.722,51, IRR of 65.77 percent, Gross B/C of 5.49, Net B/C of 2.32 and a payback period of 1 year 9 months 21 days. Switching value analysis shows that if there is a decrease in output prices by 50.00 percent, a decrease in production by 60.00 percent and an increase in nutrition prices by 100.00 percent, the vegetable cultivation business is still feasible to run. Meanwhile, if there is a decrease in the price of more output, a decrease in production and an increase in the price of nutrients that have been targeted, then this vegetable cultivation business will not be allowed to run.
