Abstract
The Objective of this research was to identify postharvest paddy loss and verify the postharvest loss data by Biro Pusat Statistik (20%). This research used survey method by direct observation in the field and data processing used descriptive method. It was conducted in lowland agroecosystem which cultivated ciherang variety. The result showed that the harvest activity loss was 7.63%, transportation 3.67%, threshing activity 3.83%, drying activity 0.67%, storage activity 0.33%, and milling activity was 0.73%. The postharvest total loss was 16.86% and this value was lower compared to BPS data (20.42%). This different occured due to the different method in observing and calculating data.
