Abstract

Personal hygiene is an act of maintaining individual health and hygiene. Thataimed to prevent illness from ovrselves and others. Based on the results of the MINasyril Islam students, the personal hygiene of most of the children in elementaryschool was still not good, Posting with students still having long and dirty nailsand poorly dressed. Most students do not wash their hands before and after mealsand also waste that is not in place. In addition, not yet optimal school healthactivities (UKS) also become one of the factors needed to pay attention to hygieneand health. This study was to analyze the determinants of personal hygienebehavior of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nasyril Islam Palembang’s students. Theindicator messurement were, knowledge, behavior, teacher support and parentssupport. This study was to quantitative research with Cross Sectional approach.The sample of this research is students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nasyril IslamPalembang Guest 60 people. This research was carried out in May until June2018 at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nasyril Islam Palembang. Data in research can beused by using questionnaire instrument, then done by using Chi Square test withsignificance level p: <0,05. The results of this study resulted in the relationshipbetween knowledge with personal hygiene with value (p-value = 0,000). There isno relationship between attitude and personal hygiene with value (p-value =0.675). There is a relationship between Master and personal hygiene (p-value =0,000). There is a relationship between Family with personal hygiene (p-value =0.001) Conclusion: knowledge, teacher support and family support influence theformation of student's personal hygiene behavior.
