Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh padat tebar yang berbeda terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan larva ikan betok pada tahap pendederan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Unit Pembenihan Rakyat Batanghari Sembilan dan Laboratorium Dasar Perikanan, pogram Studi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa perbedan padat tebar larva ikan betok, pada tahap pendederan yaitu P1 (5 ekor per liter), P2 (10 ekor per liter) dan P3 (15 ekor per liter). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kelangsungan hidup larva ikan betok yang tertinggi (63,50%) terdapat pada perlakuan P1 sedangakan pertumbuhan rerata panjang mutlak terdapat pada perlakuan P3 sebesar 1,12 cm dan pertumbuhan berat mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P3 sebesar 0,1025 gram. Kualitas air pendederan ikan betok masih berada dalam kisaran toleransi yaitu suhu berkisar 28-29°C, pH 7,7-8,3, oksigen terlarut 3,85-5,70 mg.L-1.
