Abstract

This research entitled Development of Learning Tools Shaped Apron Letter For the Vocabulary of Group B Children in Al-Kautsar Indralaya Kindergarten, aims to produce learning tools in the form of apron letters. The development of this letter-shaped apron tool uses a combination of Rowntree's development model and Tessmer's evaluation. The Rowntree development model consists of three stages, namely the planning, development and evaluation phase. At the evaluation stage, the formative evaluation proposed by Tessmer consists of five stages: self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation and field test. This research is done until small group stage. Technique of collecting data using Walkthrough and observation. The results of expert review obtained the average value of the results of the assessment of experts on the apron of the theme of the fruit, apron theme vehicle theme and apron theme of the animal of 3.56% with a category very valid. Validnya media of the presentation results in accordance with predetermined criteria standards both from aspects of material assessment and aspects of media assessment apron letters. In one to one evaluation stage and small group evaluaion stage, the average of children observation result with apron theme of fruit, apron theme of vehicle and apron theme of animal subject is 87% with very practical category. Practical media from the presentation of one to one stage and small group stage shows that the developed media has memnui standard criteria that have been determined from the aspects of ease of use media and aspects of the characteristics of children. From all stages that have been done then it can be concluded that the learning tool shape of apron letters can be used in the learning process and declared valid and practical use by children.
