Abstract

Thesis entitled "Implementation of the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 108 of 2017 Against Online Transportation Legality in Palembang City", has a background that is the need for transportation facilities which is one of the important needs of economic, social and cultural activities. Online Transportation is one example of application-based technology development which is considered as one of the best innovations today. The formulation of the problem in this research is related to the implementation and validity of online transportation in the city of Palembang in terms of the Minister of Transportation Regulation number 108 of 2017. The purpose of this study is to study and analyze the Implementation of the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 108 of 2017. This research is a type of empirical legal research , types and sources of research material through secondary data collected through library studies and field studies, analyzed qualitatively. In conclusion, in terms of the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 108 of 2017, which is an online application-based transportation service provider, an information technology-based company that connects online transportation service providers with online transportation service providers through applications provided by telephone service providers. Online transportation drivers, individuals as vehicle owners who are obliged to serve service users and are responsible for safety in travel. Service users are required to first install an online transit application on a smartphone in order to be able to use the services provided by the service provider. For the determination of tariffs for upper and lower limits of online transportation based on the Regulation of the Director General of Land Transportation which divides tariffs into two categories.
