Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Kimpul taro bokashi (Xanthosoma sagittifolium L.) on the growth of Chives (Allium chinense G. Don) and the best concentration of bokashi. This research was conducted in a green house in the village of Permata Baru, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 repetitions. Treatment in the form of giving bokashi kimpul with different concentrations consisted of P0 (0%) as a control, P1 (15%), P2 (30%), P3 (45%), and P4 (60%). 15% bokashi concentration is the recommended treatment to increase the growth of Chives onion plants with an average plant height of 42.45 cm, number of leaves 19, number of tubers 5.50, fresh weight of taruk 9.03 gram and dry weight of taruk 2.06 gram. Based on these results it can be concluded that bokashi taro Kimpul has an effect on the growth of Lokio onion plants. The results of this study are used as a source of information in class XII high school biology lessons on Growth and Development of Living Things.
