Abstract

Suatu penelitian untuk mengetahui toksisitas letal dan toksisitas sub letal limbah cair kelapa sawit terhadap ikan patin. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada Mei - Juni 2013 di Laboratorium Dasar Perikanan Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 7 tingkat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Pada uji letal, tingkat perlakuan yang dilakukan tanpa penambahan limbah cair (A), 13,18 mL.L'1 (B), 13,89 mL.L*1 (C), 14,63 mL.L*1 (D), 15,4 mL.L*1 (E), 16,21 mL.L*1 (F), dan 17,06 mL.L'1 (G). Pada uji sub letal, tingkat perlakuan yang dilakukan tanpa penambahan limbah cair (A), 0,5 % x LC50 96 jam (B), 1 % x LC5096 jam (C), 6,25 % x LC5096 jam (D), 12,5 x LC50 96 jam (E), 25 % x LC50 96 jam (F), dan 50% x LC50 96 jam (G). Hasil analisa probit menunjukkan bahwa nilai LC50 96 jam sebesar 14,12 mL.L*1, hubungan linear positif antara mortalitas dan konsentrasi limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit sangat erat (r = 0,98 ). Hasil uji sub letal menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi < 1 % x LC50 96 jam limbah cair tidak berpengaruh (p>0,01) dan konsentrasi > 6,25 % x LC50 96 jam limbah cair berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup, pertumbuhan dan tingkat konsumsi oksigen ikan patin.
