Abstract

The development of mobile learning-based learning media in learning to write poetry in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang has been carried out to maximize the use of learning media. This study aimed to (1) describe the need for the development of mobile learning-based learning media in learning to write poetry; (2) Designing products in the form of learning media in the form of mobile learning-based applications in learning to write poetry; and (3) Describe the feasibilities of mobile learning-based learning media products in learning to write poetry that were developed according to experts. This research method used a modified development model based on research needs, namely a combination of Borg and Gall and Allesi and Trollip. The research data is in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data was collected by interview technique, while quantitative data was collected by questionnaire technique. This mobile learning-based learning media was prepared based on the results of an analysis of the needs of class X students and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. This learning media framework is composed of several features, namely quiz games, materials, learning videos, evaluations, learning forums, and reference sites. Learning media in the form of this application has been through a validation test by three experts, material experts, media experts, and linguists. Based on the results of the validation of the three experts, learning media based on mobile learning in learning to write poetry is stated to be very suitable for use in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang.
