Abstract

As agricultural countries, Indonesia and Thailand are some of the largest exporters of agricultural product in the world market. However, the development of agricultural exports in the last ten years shows a fluctuating trend, and average in the last five years has decreased. This is certainly caused by world economic conditions and internal factors that have reduced the value of agricultural exports in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to determine the factors that affect agricultural export in Indonesia & Thailand. The research used panel data econometrics as the method of analysis. This research used annual data with a period of 21 years (2000-2020). Based on the result of the study, it was determined simultaneously the variable of USD exchange rate, export price, and agricultural output that were significantly influencing agricultural export in Indonesia & Thailand, are partially the variable of export export price and agricultural output were significantly and positive influencing agricultural export in Indonesia and Thailand, while the USD exchange rate variable had a positive but insignificant effect. To increase agricultural export, the government can implement export-oriented policies so that agricultural product in both Indonesia and Thailand have high economic value and are competitive in the international market.
