Abstract

Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System atau Inafis merupakan unit khusus satuan kerja dibawah satuan kerja Reserse Kriminal (Reskrim) Polri yang akan dilibatkan dalam proses mengidentifikasi suatu kasus tindak pidana yang terjadi guna untuk mengungkap siapa pelaku atas suatu tindak pidana. Permasalahan dalam penulisan skripsi ini adalah : 1). Bagaimanakah peran Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) Polres Pagaralam dalam upaya ungkap kasus tindak pidana pembunuhan berencana terhadap anak 2). Apa hambatan dari Tim Unit Identifikasi Polres Pagaralam dalam upaya ungkap kasus tindak pidana pembunuhan berencana terhadap anak. Penelitian ini bersifat Penelitian Hukum Empiris dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sosio Legal (Socio-Legal), pendekatan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan (Statute Approach), Pendekatan Kasus (Case Approach). Inafis memiliki peran penting dalam upaya ungkap kasus dan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP) tujuan dari melibatkan tim Inafis ialah untuk mengamankan sidik jari yang melekat di tempat kejadian perkara (TKP). Kendala yang dihadapi Tim Identifikasi Polres Pagaralam yaitu faktor korban, faktor letak geografis, faktor SDM Polri, faktor transportasi ke TKP, dan faktor masyarakat. Kata Kunci : Inafis, Ungkap Kasus, Pembunuhan Berencana.
