Abstract

The damage to eggplant plants that caused by pest can reduce production and disrupting the development also growth of eggplants, one of which are the fruits that short also the long harvest time will reduce the profit. The objectives of this research were to determine the usage of natural pesticide that reacted against predator population on eggplant plants. This research were conducted in a research experiment field, Department of Plant Pest and Disease, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research started from May 2022 until complete. This research conducted using completely randomized block design (RCBD) with 4 treatments and 5 repetition with experiment method that carried out through natural pesticide application probation consisting of nimba leaf extract (Azadirachta indica), papaya leaf (Carica papaya), jatropha leaf (Jatropha curcas) and chickweed (Ageratum conyzoides). The result from this research showed that the most dominant predatory insects were Condylostylus sipho with total of 66 insects on B code treatment by direct observation sampling method, while for the lowest predator were in C treatment by direct observation sampling method was Pseudagrion microcephalum insisting only 1 insect.
