Abstract

Peran teknologi informasi di era revolusi menyebabkan teknologi informasi sangat penting bagi banyak kegiatan bisnis yang berkontribusi dalam perubahan mendasar pada struktur, operasi dan manajemen organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Penerapan Metode User Centered Design (UCD) pada Perancangan User Interface Aplikasi Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD) dengan tahapan Plan the human Centered Desain Process, Understand context of Use, Specify user requirement, Design solution dan Evaluate against requirements. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah beberapa pengunjung Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Sriwijaya serta petugas Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Sriwijaya. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September - 30 November 2022. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan kuesioner. Lokasi penelitian berada di Perpustakaan Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil penelitian pada proses pengujian usability testing yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) memperoleh nilai 85,83 dengan kategori A atau Excellent sehingga perancangan aplikasi ini dinilai layak untuk di kembangkan. User Interface ini masih dalam bentuk desain sehingga besar harapannya terutama kepada pihak Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Sriwijaya untuk mengembangkan rancangan ini ke dalam bentuk program
