Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that can affect stock returns, by using the variables Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Earning Per Share (EPS). The number of samples used in the research using the purposive sampling method were 45 companies in the consumer goods industry sector which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2021. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of published financial reports, and the data is analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the ROA and EPS variables have a positive and significant effect on stock returns while the ROE and DER variables have a negative and significant effect on stock returns. And the results of the research on all variables, namely ROA, ROE, DER, EPS have an effect on stock returns.
