Abstract

Background: carcinoma nasofaring (KNF) was tumor malignant from cell epitel was covered by nasofaring. Carcinoma nasofaring in Indonesia the 5th rank from 10 main tumor malignant whole body. Based on legalitate data Department Healthy at 1980 there was about 4,7 person per 100.000 Citizen in a year was diagnozed carcinoma nasofaring. Purpose: this research purposed to know amount patients and identifying charcateristics of the patient of carcinoma nasofaring in Pathology Anatomy Departement RSMH Palembang periode January 2009-Desember 2011. Method: this research was used observationd descriptive research using secondary data that was medical record at RSMH Palembang. Sample was all of patient was diagnozed carcinoma nasofaring in Pathology Anatomy Periode January 2009-Desember 2011. Result: from the research was got amount patient of carcinoma nasofaring was 115 person whit characteristic of sociodemograph were men 84 person (73,0%) and women 31 person (23,0%), majority in range age >40 years old, kind of histopathology carcinoma nasofaring sufferers were Non- Keralinizing Squamous Cell Carcinoma 108 person (93,9%) and Keratinizing squamous Cell Carcinoma 7 perosn (6,1%), majority carcinoma nasofaring sufferers were laborer 36 person (31,3%) and the lowest secondary school student was 1 person (0,9%). Conclusion: during periode January 2009-Desemebr 2011 was discoverd 115 person pastient of acrcinoma nasofaring in Pathology Anatomy RSMH Palembang. All of the patients have possibility to go carcinoma nasofaring based on illustration from characteristic sociodemograph carcinoma nasofaring.
