Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that affect stock returns on basic industrial manufacturing companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). This research uses ratio analysis: leverage, efficiency, and probitability. Independent variabel in this research are Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Asset Turnover(TATO), Return On Equity (ROE), and• Earning Per Share (EPS) and dependent variable represented by Stock return. The result of the research shows that DER has no significant effect on stock return, while TATO, ROE, and EPS has significant effect to stock return. The coefficient of determination obtained is 0.228. This• means that the variables DER, TATO, ROE and EPS are able to explain the stock return variable of 22,8%. While the remaining 77.2% is explained by other variables that are not examined in this study.
