Abstract
Background. Workplace bullying is a common problem in many countries. Workplace bullying is hostile and unethical communication that occurs at least once a week for at least 6 months. This form of communication is intended to harass, offend or socially ostracize someone or negatively influence someone's job duties. The Negative Acts Questionnaire – Revised (NAQ-R) is a useful tool for assessing the presence of workplace bullying. In Indonesia, there have not been many studies regarding the validity and reliability of the Indonesian version of the NAQ-R and there has been no previous research using the NAQ-R questionnaire on clinical year student or often referred to as co-assistant. Method. This study uses a validity and reliability approach. The research process is divided into an adaptation process and an analysis process. The analysis process includes analysis of the Item Content Validity Index (I-CVI) & Scale Content Validity Index (S-CVI). NAQ-R Indonesian Version was spread to Clinical Year Students of the Medical Education Department, Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University. Analysis of the Indonesian Version of NAQ-R uses Bivariate Pearson correlation (Pearson Moment Product) using a two-tailed test with a significance level of 0.05. If r count ≥ r table, it can be concluded that the questions tested are valid. The reliability measurement technique used in this study is the Cronbach Alpha technique. Reliability less than 0.6 is not good, while 0.7 is acceptable and above 0.8 is good. Result. NAQ-R Indonesian version was obtained through an adaptation process. Based on the assessment of 6 experts on the expert panel, the minimum value of I-CVI was obtained at 1 (minimum agreement value of 0.83). The Indonesian version of the NAQ-R has a validity value above the accepted value with r count > r table at n = 270, which is 0.1194, therefore it is declared valid, and the reliability value of statement items on the Negative Acts Questionnaire – Revised (NAQ-R) Indonesian Version is > 0 ,70. These results show that the questionnaire items are valid and reliable, in consequence, they are reliable and reasonable to be used as a measuring tool. Conclusion: Negative Acts Questionnaire – Revised Indonesian version is valid and reliable so that it is reliable and appropriate to be used as a measuring tool to assess the level of workplace bullying among Clinical Year Students in the Medical Education Department, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sriwijaya.
