Abstract
Perkembangan dunia konstruksi di Indonesia telah berkembang pesat. Dengan perkembangan tersebut, penggunaan beton sebagai salah satu jenis material konstruksi semakin tinggi. Beton dapat digunakan di sebagian besar konstruksi sipil seperti struktur gedung, bangunan air dan perkerasan jalan. Pembangunan infrastruktur ini dapat menggunakan beton yang memiliki berat jenis yang ringan, yaitu beton ringan (lightweight concrete). Beton yang mengandung agregat ringan berdasarkan kepentingan penggunaan strukturnya berkisar 1440 kg/m3 – 1850 kg/m3 (SNI 2847-2019). Lightweight concrete memiliki alternatif untuk mengurangi berat, salah satunya dengan menggunakan foam dan agregat ringan. Agregat yang digunakan adalah pasir. Komposisi lightweight concrete tersusun dari semen jenis Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), pasir, air, foam agent, dan polypropylene mono fiber. Variasi rasio komposisi antara semen dan agregat yang digunakan adalah 1:2,25, 1:2,5, 1,2,75. Rasio air dan foaming agent sebesar 1:40. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengujian sorptivity lightweight concrete dengan penambahan polypropylene mono fiber. Pengujian sorptivity ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penyerapan air ke dalam lightweight concrete dengan penambahan polypropylene mono fiber.
