Abstract

New Student Admission (PPDB) is an annual activity carried out by a school to recruit new students. In getting new students, of course, schools want quality students, to get quality students, of course it takes a large number of prospective students so that a strict selection can be made to get quality students. However, to increase the number of prospective students, the advantages of the school are needed so that it can increase interest in enrolling in the school. This study aims to build an online PPDB system design that can make it easier for registrants both in obtaining information and in implementing registration which can be one of the advantages of the school. Researchers develop designs using a user experience approach using the design thinking method in the implementation phase. The Design Thinking method has 5 stages, namely : empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. From the research that has been carried out, the results of the SUS score percentile rank of 70,3 with the number of respondents as many as 45 people. These results can be grouped into 3 categories with acceptability ranges with marginal high value, grade scale C, and adjective rating with good value. With the results obtained, the prototype system built can be categorized as feasible to use.
