Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) were important producer of eminent vegetable oil especially in Indonesia. However in the cultivation effort of oil palm plants were constrained by one of them was stem rot disease. Stem rot disease can caused death in plant tissue and economically detriment. Stem rot disease on oil plants were caused by Ganoderma boninense fungi. Initial symptoms were yellowing on the underside of the leaf and necrotic that can spread all over the leaf. On the mature plants were fronds turn pale also all the frond leaves will dried up and die. G. boninense fungi were soil borne pathogens that spreads by spores and some cases found that this fungi can spread through gusts of wind. Control efforts using biological agents such as antagonic fungi Trichoderma sp. also using rhizomes exctract has a lot been done. Secondary metabolites produced from both ingridients and used as a formulation has antifungal properties, antioxidants, and poison resistant. Turmeric extract that used during the in vitro tests have charasteristically antifungal that can hindering the growth of G. boninense up to 24,7% on the 5% concentration. Formulation additions Trichoderma spp. Can increase the hampering effect up to 74,5% on 2,5% concentration. On the In Planta test was not hindering initial infection and advanced infection of G. boninense but can increase the growth of oil palm seeds especially leaf area and stem circumference.
