Abstract

Laundry services are really needed by the community, because they make it easier for people to save energy and time. It is not uncommon to find laundry service businesses that implement standard agreements that include exoneration clauses that are actually prohibited by the act therein. The research method used is empirical legal research or often also called non-doctrinal legal research that is descriptive. The data collection technique used is field research which aims to obtain data directly at the research location through interviews and questionnaires and library research studies. The data processing technique used is the examination of field data validation and coding. Based on the results of the study, the standard agreement in the form of a memorandum made by the laundry service businessman uses an exoneration clause therein. The responsibility of the business actor is a form of legal protection for consumers, the responsibility of the laundry business that is based on professional liability which is a direct civil liability on the basis of an agreement / contract (contractual liability) of the business actor (service provider) for losses suffered by consumers due to using the laundry service.
