Abstract

This study aims to study and determine the value and distribution of infiltration rates using the Horton method on post-coal mining reclamation land of PT Bukit Asam, Tbk under the shade of eucalyptus (Melaleuca cajuputi) as a revegetation plant at different land ages. This research was conducted from August 2022 to October 2022 in the post-coal mining reclamation area that was revegetated with eucalyptus plants (Melaleuca cajuputi) at PT Bukit Asam, Tbk, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatera. This research was carried out using the survey method, the determination of sampling points was carried out randomly using the simple random sampling method with 5 points for each age: A (IUP Banko Barat 2021), B (IUP Banko Barat 2019), C (IUP Banko Barat 2017), As a result, there are 15 sampling points. The infiltration rate was measured using a double ring infiltrometer with ring diameters of 60 cm and 30 cm. To obtain an infiltration rate classification, the measurement results in the field were processed using the Horton method. Intact and disturbed soil samples, and eucalyptus root samples were taken at a depth of 0-30 cm and analyzed as parameters affecting infiltration. Parameters observed were, organic matter, number of roots, soil porosity, soil bulk density. The data analysis used in this research is spatial analysis as infiltration rate distribution maps and statistical analysis using T-Test, Pearson Correlation, and Quadratic. The results showed that the reclamation rate of 1 year and 5 years of infiltration rate showed a significant difference. While on the reclamation land age 1 year and 3 years ; 3 years and 5 years no significant difference in infiltration rates.
