Abstract

Diplomatic relations are relations carried out between one country and another to fulfill the interests of each country. This research explains the agreement on the normalization of diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel in order to achieve a new balance in the Middle East. The normalization of diplomatic relations aims to achieve the interests of the two countries. So the writer uses Hans J. Morgenthau's concept of national interest. The research method used by the author is a qualitative method and the type of research is descriptive. Descriptive method is a method used to describe or analyze a research result. This research uses secondary data obtained from literature such as books, journals, research, reports, documents, internet, and news. The results of the study show that the agreement to normalize diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel is an agreement that can achieve prosperity, peace, and stability in the Middle East region.
