Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Message Content on Instagram @pertaminasumbagsel (Study on Instagram Feed @pertaminasumbagsel with AgendaSetting Approach)". This study aims to determine the contents of messages on Instagram @pertaminasumbagsel using the agenda setting theory approach in analyzing the contents of Instagram messages @pertaminasumbagsel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data obtained from observation and documentation. This study uses the agenda setting theory by Weimann & Brosiuss which is divided into 4 basic assumptions, namely looking at the media choosing issues to spread to the public, the public choosing topics that are considered important, the relationship between topics considered importantby the media (media agenda) and topics which are considered important by the public (public agenda), and the role of the gatekeeper. Problem analysis was carried out by looking at the Instagram account @pertaminasumbagsel using the Agenda Setting Theory.Through the Agenda Setting Theory, it is explained that there are four basic assumptions inthe internet era. The results of this study found that there was a link between social media Instagram @pertaminasumbagsel in posting content that was distributed with the Agenda Setting Theory.
