Abstract

The use of inorganic fertilizers to increase the availability of nutrients in the cultivation of food crops is still very needed, especially fertilizers containing N, P and K nutrients as macro nutrients. The nutrient content in inorganic fertilizers is very high and is quickly available to be absorbed by plants. This study aimed to examine the effect of azolla-vermicompost fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on rice plant growth and P availability in lowland swamp soil. The design used in this study was a completely randomized factorial design (RALF) which consisted of 2 treatment factors for azolla-vermicompost pellet fertilizer and N, P, and K fertilizers. Dosage of azolla-vermicompost pellet fertilizer 20 tons ha-1 could increase the availability of P. swampland and rice crop growth. Giving the recommended dose of 100% NPK fertilizer (300 kg urea ha-1 + 50 kg SP-36 ha-1 + 150 kg KCl ha-1) was able to increase the availability of P in lowland swamp soil and the growth of rice plants. Administration of a combination dose of azolla-vermicompost pellet fertilizer of 20 tons ha-1 and the recommended dose of 50% NPK fertilizer (150 kg urea ha-1 + 25 kg SP-36 ha-1 + 75 kg KCl ha-1) was able to increase the availability of P in Lebak swamp soil and rice plant growth. It can be concluded that there is an effect of giving azolla-vermicompost fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on rice plant growth and P availability on the land of lebak swamp.
