Abstract

Celebrity news, which is currently mushrooming in online media, cannot be separated from world journalistic views. Many people think that celebrity news only contains gossip, rumors don't even match the facts. News discrepancies are the foundation for every publisher to publish a news item. Every rubric in online media must fulfill all the eligible elements in a news story, concise and clear and warm. In looking at these five concepts, it is necessary to conduct research using qualitative analysis methods to see the tendency of the content of communication in news and through interviews conducted with the Editor/Conten Creator of celebrity news at the Sriwijaya Post. Kusumaningrat must fulfill all elements, namely accurate, complete, fair and balanced, objective, concise and clear and warm. In the results of the analysis that has been carried out by researchers on Citayam fashion week news in the celeb news rubric in Sriwijaya Post, there are 16 news out of 28 news that have met the newsworthy element, meaning that Sriwijaya Post has better shown newsworthy elements in publishing a news. Overall, the news has contained objective elements as well as concise and clear elements. As for the other three elements, namely accurate, complete fair and balanced and warm tendencies have shown more fulfillment of these elements but in some other news have not been implemented optimally.
