Abstract

This study in the background is behind the still not optimal work done by the yellow sub-district in terms of community service, then the number of violations committed by employees directly affects the public service. This thesis aims to find out how the performance of Kemuning sub-district employees in Palembang City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with the performance measurement theory proposed by Bernardian and Russell. The research focus of this study is the variable Job Quantity, work quality, knowledge of work, creativity, cooperation, determination in work, and personal quality. Data is obtained from primary data through interviews with the Head of the District of Kemuning, secretary of the sub-district head, sub-dept. staffing, head of government and secondary data through documents that support research. Based on the results of the analysis and field research, it can be concluded that the performance of the Kemuning District employee in Palembang City has not run optimally. This is evidenced by the still overlapping work, the quality of work that is still not optimal, the lack of firmness of leaders in carrying out actions that affect employee discipline, creativity that is still not effective, knowledge of work that is still incompatible, personal quality that is still not good. This research gives advice to Kemuning Subdistrict is the need for equitable division of labor between employees, the need for additional employees, more intensive supervision and punishment and the need to improve the quality of employees with technical guidance.
