Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyempurnakan kinerja alat pengaduk media tanam jamur tiram (.Pleurotus sp.) dengan menambahkan alat pengisi baglog tipe ulir. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kumbung Jamur Tiram Talang Buruk Palembang pada bulan Februari 2012 sampai Mei 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode perancangan alat, pembuatan alat dan pengujian alat. Parameter yang diamati yaitu persentase campuran bahan, kapasitas alat dan kebutuhan daya listrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase campuran bahan yang mendekati campuran awal bahan adalah pada perlakuan pengadukan selama 6 menit dengan rata-rata persentase serbuk kayu gergaji 81,257 %, dedak 12,102 %, dan beras jagung 6,225 % dengan kapasitas kerja alat �}140 baglog/]zm. Selain itu, alat pengaduk media tanam jamur tiram ini membutuhkan daya listrik 0,20 Hp dalam pengoperasiannya.
