Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was determine whether there was an effect of applying the can throwing games and tailed ball throwing games to increase the javelin results at SMPN 01 BPR Ranau Tengah. This study used an experimental method with the pre-test - post-test two treatment design. The sample in this study were extracurricular students at SMPN 1 BPR Ranau Tengah, totaling 60 students, who were divided into two groups, 30 group students were treated with cans throwing games, and 30 group students were treated with tailed ball throwing games. The results of the pretest and posttest of each group experienced were increased, in the treatment group, the game of throwing cans increased by 2.93 and the treatment group of the tailed ball throwing game increased by 2.66. The pretest and posttest generated in hypothesis testing 1 were obtained tcount 9,583 > ttable 2,002 and with a significant value (2-tailed) 0,000<0,05. The hypothesis testing II were obtained tcount 7,60 > ttable 2,002 and with a significant value (2-tailed) 0,000<0,05. Based on the result of this research it means there is a significant effect between the can throwing games and tailed ball throwing games to the student's javelin result at SMPN 01 BPR Ranau Tengah.
