Abstract

This purpose of this research is to: 1). Describe the differences in cultivation and the number of production factors used for coffee with and without grafting treatment in Bandar Jaya Village, Dempo Selatan District, Pagaralam City, 2). Analyze the differences in productivity and income of coffee farming with and without grafting treatment in Bandar Jaya Village, Dempo Selatan District, Pagaralam City, 3). Analyze the production factors that affect the productivity of coffee farming with and without grafting treatment in Bandar Jaya Village, Dempo Selatan District, Pagaralam City. There are differences in coffee farming with and without grafting, where grafting coffee seedlings are carried out by connecting scions and rootstocks using BP 308 clones as rootstocks and BP 393 clones as scions while coffee nurseries without grafting are carried out by sowing coffee beans, then production. produced coffee with splicing more than coffee without splicing. And for the production factors used more coffee with grafting than coffee without grafting, this is because the amount of production produced is different and adjusts to needs. The average total productivity of coffee with grafting is 1,816 kg/ha/year, while the average total productivity of coffee without grafting is 821 kg/ha/year. There is a difference of 995 kg/ha/year, which means the productivity of coffee with grafting is 54.62% more than coffee without grafting. The average total income of coffee farming with grafting is IDR 33,134,244 per hectare per year while the average total income of coffee farming without grafting is IDR 13,063,162 per hectare per year. There is a difference of IDR 20,071,082, which means that the income of coffee farming with grafting is 60.58% higher than coffee farming without grafting. The production factors of land area and labor have a significant effect on coffee productivity with and without grafting. Meanwhile, urea fertilizer only has a significant effect on coffee productivity by grafting. And herbicides only have a real effect on coffee productivity without grafting.
