Abstract

Red chili (Capsicum annuum) is a horticultural commodity that is in great demand by the world community. This plant also has many species with many different characteristics. Therefore, many red chilies are cultivated to meet the needs of the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of diversity of predatory arthropods present in red chili plantations that were applied to plant pesticides made from ketapang, noni, lantana and lime to control pests. This research was carried out using an experimental method which was carried out through experimental application of botanical pesticides consisting of (C1⹀ Common lantana leaf extract, C2⹀ Indian mulberry leaf extract, C3⹀ Tropical almond leaf extract, and C4⹀ Lime leaf extract). This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The results showed that the population of predatory arthropods on the pantrap experienced the highest fluctuation in the 5th week of C4 treatment with 14 predators. While the population of predatory arthropods was the lowest, found in the 10th week of C3 treatment, namely 4 predators. In the yellow trap, the highest number was in the 11th week of the C3 treatment with 13 predators. While the lowest population was in the 6th week of the C3 treatment, the 7th week of the C1 treatment, and the 11th week of the C2 treatment, namely there were only 2 predators. And direct observation of the highest number was in the 2nd week of C1 treatment, namely 7 predators. Meanwhile, the lowest population of predatory arthropods was found in the 7th week of C3 treatment and 8th week of C4 treatment with 1 predator.
