Abstract

Duku plants are included in seasonal crops. One of the fungi that causes cancer in duku plants is Ceratocystis. This disease can cause death in plants. This study aims to explore non-endophytic antagonistic microorganisms of fungi and bacteria from duku plant stems in controlling the deadly Ceratocystis disease in duku plants and aims to conduct antagonistic tests of non-endophytic isolates of fungi and bacteria from duku stems that have the potential to suppress Ceratosystis disease. This research was conducted using a survey method, in 4 districts in South Sumatra, namely Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) in Seradang Menang Village and Pantai Village. Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) in Singapore Village and Kepayang Village. Musi Banyuasin (MUBA) in Ngulak Village and Tanjung Raya Village, and Ogan Ilir (OI) in Sungai Pinang Village. Sampling was carried out by purposive random sampling by taking healthy duku plant seeds as many as 10 plants per location. Site selection was divided based on the level of attack of ceratocystis disease in previous studies, namely no attacks (OI and OKI), moderate (MUBA) and severe (OKU). The results of the antagonist test showed that several fungal isolates had clear zones, overlapping, and one of them stopped growing. SSUPM 7A has the highest percentage of inhibition power in Ogan Ilir Regency, which is 79.43%. Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is owned by SDMM 3A which is equal to 79.46%, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency has the strongest inhibition power owned by MSA namely 1C 77.06%, and Musi Banyuasin Regency is owned by SDM 5A namely 79.4%. The results of the bacterial antagonist test showed that the highest inhibition value was found in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, found in isolates with the SDMM code 9A, namely 1,365. The highest inhibition value in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency was found in isolate with MPN code 7A with a value of 0.9386 and the highest inhibition value in Musi Banyuasin Regency was found in isolate with SDM 6B code, namely 1.1386. Overall the highest score was found in Ogan Ilir Regency with the SSUPM 3B code with a value of 1.1756.
