Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) Calculating the amount of work time allocation for rubber tapping women in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency,(2) Analyze the factors affecting the income of rubber tapping women in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, (3) Calculating the amount of contribution of rubber tapping women to family income in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Site selection in this study was carried out intentionally (purposive). This research was conducted in Suka Damai Baru Village in August 2021 The research method used is the survey method. The selection of farmer samples used is a random sampling method. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data processing methods used for data analysis are quantitative and resubmittative. The results showed that (1) The average allocation of working time for rubber tapping women to make a living as rubber farmers in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency is 3.84 hours/day with a percentage of 15,99%, (2) Factors that affect women's income in rubber farming in Suka Damai Baru Village are land area and work experience, otherwise the factors that do not affect are the age and outpouring of working time, (3) The contribution of women's income to the family income level is 32.46%, of which the range of income contribution from 30.00% to 40.00% includes contributing sufficiently. When compared with the income of husbands and children, it can be concluded that the income of peasant women is quite high.
