Abstract

Rice is a main crop therefore its growth and production needs to be increased with efforts to provide organic fertilizer because in general the use of fertilizers in rice is inorganic fertilizer because it contains elements needed by plants. Water hyacinth is a very potential material to be used as organic fertilizer. The purpose of this research is to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizer N, P, K due to liquid organic fertilizer made from water hyacinth on the growth of rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) in the swamp soil. This study used a completely randomized design with four repetitions in each treatment, with a dose of 24 ml LOF applications, 24 ml LOF + 25% NPK, 24 ml LOF + 50% NPK, 24 ml LOF + 75% NPK, 24 ml LOF + 100% NPK / pot. The analysis showed the liquid organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer N, P, K significant on plant height, number of productive tillers, soil pH at the time of primordia of rice, plant weight at harvest, root length, root weight, number of panicle, number of grains per panicle, weight of dry grain harvests and did not significantly affect maximum number of tillers, root volume and grain weight of 100 grains. Nutrient content of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium and C-Organic rice land primordia time tended to increases in treatment 24 ml LOF + 75% NPK. Treatment 24 ml LOF + 100% NPK is the best treatment because Liquid organic fertilizer in rice IR64 in swamp soil can reduce 25% of the recommended N, P, K fertilizer.
