Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the conditions of oil palm farming in Bumi Kencana Village, Sungai Lilin District, (2) to calculate the level of income of oil palm farmers in Bumi Kencana Village, Sungai Lilin District, (3) to analyze what factors affect income oil palm farmers in Bumi Kencana Village, Sungai Lilin District. The method used in this research is survey method. The research was carried out in June 2022 with 30 respondents from 300 populations of independent oil palm smallholders in Bumi Kencana Village. Sampling method used in this study is the method purposive sampling. The data collected are primary data and secondary data. Data processing method using descriptive qualitative analysis by conducting direct interviews and using mathematical calculations and analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) The average area of the respondent's oil palm land is 3 cultivated areas (lg). The average age of the oil palm plant itself is 17 years old. Then for the type of fertilizer used alone, namely Phonska fertilizer, NPK, KCL, SP-36. As for pesticides and herbicides they use Round Up, Ally and Gramoxone. (2) The average net income earned by independent smallholders in Bumi Kencana Village is IDR 137,075,483/lg/year or IDR 39,625,644/ha/year.
